Hello, Ozimals friends!
Welcome to Bunny Update 2.7! Please read these notes carefully before you begin updating!
Update 2.7 is a non-mandatory update. What this means is that your 2.6 bunnies will continue to eat for two weeks if not updated, though each food you have rezzed out will message you once a day to remind you to update. If your bunnies are not updated to 2.7, they will not be able to breed with updated or new bunnies OR produce holiday elite-capable nests--more about that in a moment. For any bunnies with earlier versions, this update is mandatory; those bunnies will stop eating once the update is released.

* Winter Holiday elite kindling period!
Starting on Sunday, December 8, 2013, at 11:00 PM SLT, and ending on Tuesday, December 31, 2013, at 11:00 PM SLT, any nest produced by version 2.7 bunnies can potentially produce a holiday elite! The nest must be created AND kindled during this window of time, and will not tell you in hovertext if you have an elite; you must kindle it to find out!
As always, these nests will have a "No Elite" button, if you would rather shut off the option on a particular nest. If you have a nest that is eligible to produce a holiday elite AND a natural elite, the natural elite trumps the holiday elite, whether you use the button or not, so you don't have to worry about getting a holiday elite instead of that natural elite you've been wanting. Due to the vast amount of other new bunneh stuff added in this update, there is one type of kindled holiday elite this year.
* Bunny Gacha!
Starting on Monday, December 2, there will be a different set of holiday bunnies, available only from these gacha machines, at gachas near the Ozimals main store. There will be fourteen bunnies in the gacha--a "common" and a "rare" version, each, of seven different bunnies. These gacha machines will be L$75 per play. Each of the gacha bunnies will have a new limited-edition breedable fur, and the rare versions will offer those same furs with their matching limited-edition eyes. These bunnies are introducing our new genetics for this update--these traits will NOT be available from starter packs. Again--starter packs like the Warren Pack and the Pair Pack will not have new genetics added for this update; all new genetics will come from the gacha and from the RFL and Cherish bunnies. We'll post to the blog with MUCH more information about these gacha bunnies when the gachas are released.
* Relay For Life!
Don't forget! The RFL Magic of Christmas Breedables Fair opens December 1st! Please see the Ozimals Winter Forecast post for more information, and we'll post much more on opening day! In short, we'll have an RFL exclusive bunny, with new breedable fur and a chance at a limited-edition eye to benefit RFL! In addition, we are participating this year in the RFL One Of A Kind Breedable Auction, on December 8th, with an extraordinary bunny. This bunny will be the only one of its kind, and will have an exclusive breedable trait, obtainable ONLY from this ONE BUNNY and its offspring.
* Inspire 2013: Cherish ticket reminder!
Hold on to your bunny tickets from the Inspire 2013 package! We'll be accepting them once December begins. If you have more than one, please send them all in one folder per avatar so that you can get your bunnies as quickly as our little paws can manage!
* Design A Bunny Contest!
We'll be announcing the winners of the Design A Bunny Contest once all of the holiday bunnies have made their appearance. In the meantime, you can see a photo of the finalists on Flickr.

****************IMPORTANT NOTES****************
1. THE UPDATE PROCESS WILL:
REQUIRE 22 PRIMS FREE ON LAND
BREAK BONDS
RESET PRICING AND
RESET HOME POSITION!
Please check that you restore bonds, reset home near food and reprice if you had bunnies set for sale.
2. If your update totem gets stuck on a bunny (after 5 minutes, it hasn't completed) please TAKE THE CRATE into your inventory and delete the white bunny underneath. Copy the crate prim description number. File a support ticket ( http://support.ozimals.com ) and include that crate number for a replacement bunny. Do not delete the crate until you receive your replacement bunny.
Once you pick up the crate and delete the white bunny, your update totem should move on to the next bunny in range.
*****BUNNY FOOD, THE UPDATE, AND YOU!*****
The food does NOT get updated itself; it only communicates to you the need to update your bunnies. PLEASE NOTE!! You do NOT need to buy new food! Once you update your bunnies, they will eat any recent version of food just fine.
FOLLOW THESE DIRECTIONS FOR A SMOOTH UPDATE PROCESS!
1. Get the updater, available free from these locations:
The Ozimals main store
The Ozimals satellite store @ Shamrock Market
The Ozimals shop on Marketplace
2. Prepare your update area:
A. Designate an "update area" someplace on the land you own.
B. Rez your updater at the center of the update area.
C. Pick up ALL third party scripted products (monitors, dispensers, servers, rings, etc.) and any other heavily scripted items in the area. These items can slow down or even prevent the update process from beginning or completing correctly. This is VERY IMPORTANT.
3. Update your bunnies:
A. Turn bunny movement off. Take a moment to record the bunny's ID if you do not already have it recorded.
B. Pick up your bunnies one at a time (do NOT pick up in a group!)
C. Rez up to 10 bunnies in your update area. The updater affects bunnies within a 9m radius (18 m circle with totem in center)
D. There will be a short delay before the updater begins; please be patient! :)
E. The bunnies will update one by one. A crate will appear over them and the process will be shown in hovertext above the box.
F. When all updates are completed, remove the updated bunnies from the update area, and put down the next 10 un-updated bunnies.
G. Continue this process until your entire warren is updated.
H. After the update is completed, RE-REZ ALL YOUR FOOD so it will detect that the bunnies have been updated. If you use any dispenser or server system, you need to remove the food from those systems and rerezz them.
